Bryston's new £5299 300W 4B~3 amplifier - 'cubed' signifying a new amplifier range - sits towards the middle of a six-strong series that's being rolled out in stages. The main design focus has been to reduce noise and distortion in the signal path, for which Bryston has patented a new amplification and filter circuit that forms the heart of the input section to its revised amplifiers. Bryston has also freshened up the 4B~3's aesthetics with a precision-milled 12mm-thick front panel with on/standby switch and two multi-colour LEDs to show the status of each channel.
