The latest iteration of Nairn's networked all-in-one carries the same price tag as the standard Atom, which remains on sale, but sheds the power amplification to be re-purposed as a dedicated device for 'head-fi' enthusiasts. It's not the UK company's first headphone amplifier, but it's certainly its most complete offering. There are 6.35mm unbalanced and 4.3mm Pentaconn balanced sockets on the front panel, plus a four-pin XLR balanced headphone output to the rear. Adjacent to this are RCAs and XLRs for preamp connection, plus optical and coaxial digital inputs as well as a single set of analogue ins.
