Long-term readers know me not to be an optimist. My glass isn't just half-empty: it's cracked and leaking. And there's a fly floating in it. Yeah, I'm a pessimist straight out of Rousseau. But - there's always a 'but' - this time it's a perception that the mainstream may be softening its disregard, let alone disrespect, for us audiophiles. Well, perhaps not us, per se, but audio in general and analogue in particular, especially in terms of imagery.
