Ayre 'Twenty' upgrade

Ayre Acoustics' popular QB-9 DAC [HFn jan '15], first introduced ten years ago and subsequently upgraded in 2011 and 2014, is still in use by many audiophiles worldwide. So Ayre has introduced a further 'Twenty' upgrade to bring to the QB-9 features from Ayre's current 8 Series products. The upgrade, which costs £ 1590, includes the following enhancements: Diamond output circuit, a new J-FET differential stage, AyreLock power supply regulation, a new ESS DAC chip, and compatibility with 384kHz PCM and DSD256. Interested QB-9 owners are urged to get their names on the waiting list now.
