Fear of a digital future?

I have been a reader of HFN for nearly 50 years and overwhelmingly listen to LPs since no digital audio format has yet persuaded me to change my preference. My vinyl front-end is near state-of-the-art, being a Technics SP10R turntable in a custom plinth, with SME IV and V12 tonearms and Audio-Technica and Ortofon moving-coil cartridges.
