Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose' (paraphrased -the more things change, the more they stay the same) is a truism immortalised, to my mind at least, by 'Circumstances' from Rush's Hemispheres album. The fact that it's been over 40 years since Rush, or any of their contemporaries for that matter, last recorded a side-long prog rock epic is evidence that our listening habits, at least, have certainly changed.
