And so another format revival continues: analogue tape, as both open-reels and cassettes. But how far it will go? I admit to not having a clue. Regarding open-reel, along with two of my fellow Saturday Morning Sad b******s - audiophiles Jim Creed and Peter Roberts, both of whom are wedded to their Nagras, Revoxes and Studers - well, some of us never abandoned what one commentator calls 'the most expensive format of them all'.
