COVID-19 pandemic creates holiday shipping logistics challenges

Better visibility and more reliable capacity will be on many shippers' wish lists this holiday season. Supply chain challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic are clashing with more online and omnichannel ordering than ever, along with a last-mile delivery market with more players than ever. In a survey by digital broker Transfix of both shippers and consumers, 91% of shippers cited COVID's impact and the inability to rely on historical data for planning as one of the top challenges of 2020.
