A new report from British Gas, published on Centrica website www.house.co.uk in October, has revealed that many parents, albeit unwittingly, could he putting their children at risk daily from scalds and burns in their own homes. The report says that every 90 seconds someone in the UK is burnt or scalded in an accident. Children under 5 are most at risk, suffering 3,500 severe injuries each year and resulting in an average of 11 deaths.
