Switching to remote monitoring not only requires the technical possibilities of devices that are already available today, but also needs to overcome legal, organisational, information, and financial hurdles. Addressing these hurdles is possible and ongoing. All cardiologists should begin considering how to set up telemedicine networks in their practice.
