Background Nursing homes exclusively specialized in the care of patients with dementia are considered to be a niche investment with future requirements (Just in: Dtsch Bank Res 2006; 1:16). Knowledge about the significance of the perception of location features is considered to be very important for the ideal preparation of marketing resources. Up to now there have been no investigations in terms of how the location factors are perceived by suppliers and customers of the care service for this type of nursing home.
