EPA Issues Updated Waste Analysis Guidance for Hazardous Waste Facilities

In January 2013, EPA issued an updated waste analysis guidance manual for facilities that generate, treat, store, and/or dispose hazardous waste. The guidance is designed to help facility personnel perform waste analyses and develop waste analysis plans (WAPs) in accordance with the federal RCRA regulations. The guidance will also help federal and state agency personnel evaluate submitted WAPs, and determine whether a facility is in compliance with applicable testing requirements. As discussed on PAGE 1.1, the updated guidance incorporates changes to the RCRA regulations that have been promulgated since the document was last issued in 1994.
