If proof were needed of the recovery underway in the oil and chemical logistics business, record attendance at this year's ILTA show should give the industry confidence. Opportunities arising from the application of IT were high on the agenda for all concerned. The Independent Liquid Terminals Association (ILTA) held its 20th international operating conference and trade show this past June 12 to 15, as ever at the Adam's Mark Hotel in Houston, Texas. More than 2,900 delegates attended the three-and-a-half day event, an all-time high. On-site visitor registration was the second highest ever and the highest for five years. A total of 268 overseas delegates attended - again, the second highest figure ever - from 44 different countries.
