Shipping is a worldwide business and standards are much the same in most parts of the world. However, it was interesting to see the issues that are of interest to the maritime industry in Singapore, as Rahita Elias found out at a recent conference. Speakers at a recent conference on commercial and operational strategies for oil and chemical tankers, held this past April 26 to 27 in Singapore, addressed the wide-ranging issues that are affecting the chemical tanker industry and how they should be addressed.
