Storage companies are reaping in the rewards of a strong petrochemicals market and booming business in biofuels, while the chemicals storage sector reorganises as production moves east. As the developed worlds insatiable lust for cars and fuel and all things plastic drives petrochemical demand now and for the foreseeable future, storage companies are enjoying healthy demand for their services in this sector. Chemicals are also maintaining high tank utilisation rates, especially in North America, but the shift of production into Asia is having an unsettling effect on European markets as storage companies work to maintain and re-establish contracts in this shifting trading environment.
