The day highlighted some of the issues that need to be addressed by industry and regulators. The Radioactive Materials Transport User Committee (RAMTUC) held its first seminar for members in Warrington this past November 20. The day was opened by the Committee's chairman, David Warden, who gave a background to RAMTUC and its origins. The group had agreed to relaunch itself in April 2007 with the aim of attaining a higher profile for the issues facing its members. RAMTUC was established as the UK industry's principal policy body covering the transport of radioactive material.
