Strategy Despite the economic downturn, Germany's Brenntag has been keeping itself busy on both sides of the Atlantic, rebranding operations, expanding capacity, signing new contracts, launching a new product division and buying a Mexican distributor. Yorkshire, UK-headquartered Albion Chemicals will trade under the name of Brenntag UK & Ireland, fulfilling a commitment to adopt the global Brenntag brand identity foloowing its acquisition by the Germany-based giant in 2006. The name change will neither affect Albion's operational management nor its network of customer service depots, production and distribution facilities and two sea-fed terminals on the Humber and in Northern Ireland, the company promises.
