The UN Sub-committee of experts on the Globally Harmonised System of classification and labelling of chemicals (GHS) held its 19th session in Geneva from June 30 to July 2 this year. Experts from 26 countries attended, along with observers from Switzerland and Thailand and representatives from the UN International Labour Organisation (ILO), the UN Institute for Training and Research (Unitar), the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Council of Europe, the European Union (EU), the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and 14 nongovernmental organisations.
