Streamtek has unveiled the Drum Storm, a reversible drum pump that it says can fill or empty a 55-gallon (208 litre) drum in less than two minutes. Made from stainless steel, the Drum Storm operates on "as little as 80 psi of compressed air" and readily attaches to any standard tighthead steel drum with Va" and 2" NPT bungs. "With no electricity or moving parts, a maintenance-free operation is assured," the company states, adding that the system's automatic safety shutoff valve guards against both overfilling and spills. Backed by a six-year warranty, the Drum Storm comes supplied with a 10' flexible vacuum hose, a stand pipe, two extension wands, a 90° quick-release elbow connection, a skimmer and a crevice tool.
