Third-party storage tank capacity at the Port of Ulsan currently totals around 2.2m m3, most of which is designed for storing chemicals. According to the port authority, Ulsan handles more than half of South Korea's total chemical imports and exports, and records the most vessel movements each year. Yosu, in the south of the Korean peninsula, is the other major chemicals port, handling around 20 per cent of South Korea's total chemical imports and exports.
