Davis takes the helm

This year's FPS EXPO saw Steve Davis, managing director of Midland Fuel Oil, taking over the helm from David Todd of Gleaner Oils as the trade body's new president. "When I was asked to represent the West Midlands on the FPS council and to consider presidency, I was honoured and felt I should try and put something back into an organisation that had given so much to me," Davis says. "During my presidency," he continues, "I will be very active in ensuring members are heard at government level and one of my original aims was to try and get the relief of duty on bad debts on road fuel as they do in Europe.
