The Joint Meeting of Experts on the Regulations annexed to the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Inland Waterways (ADN) - the ADN Safety Committee - held its 22nd session in Geneva this past January 21 to 25. Representatives from 13 states were in attendance, along with others from the Central Commission for the Navigation of the Rhine (CCNR), the Danube Commission and seven nongovernmental organisations. Helmut Rein (Germany) chaired the meeting with Bernd Birklhuber (Austria) as vice-chairman.
