Growth opportunities offered by emerging markets outweigh concerns about the political and economic turmoil that rattled some developing countries in 2013, says the fifth edition of the annual Agility Emerging Markets Logistics Index. Seventy-four per cent of the more than 800 logistics professionals surveyed for the report consider the prospects for emerging markets this year to be either 'good' or Very good'. Furthermore, Agility says, the respondents "remain optimistic despite signs that growth is slowing in China, stalled in Brazil and India and uncertain in other countries that could suffer if the US reins in monetary stimulus as expected".
