Despite the factthat the potential of LNG as a low-emission fuel for heavy vehicles and coastal and inland shipping is widely acknowledged, Germany is lagging behind developments elsewhere in northern Europe. At a recent meeting convened by VTG AG and Brunsbuttel Ports, experts from politics and business agreed that the development of an import terminal in Germany is essential and called for the necessary measures to be put in place.
