ON THE SAFE SIDE

DNV GL HAS awarded Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD] approval in principle (AIP) for a new design of LPG carrier. The new 'LPG SAFE' design is the result of a development project carried out by HMD in close collaboration with DNV GL and the AIP confirms that the design complies with DNV GL's new rules for the classification of ships. The AIP certificate was handed over during last month's Gastech show in Tokyo.
