Swedish Port to open world's largest HVSC in September

The Port of Ystad in Sweden prepares to open the world's larg est high voltage shore connection (HVSC) in mid-September. With a capability to service up to four ships simultaneously, the approx imately 7 mill. $ facility offers 50 and 60 Hz frequencies at 11,000 V. The HVSC enables docked vessels to draw the electricity needed for operating their onboard systems.
