China shipbuilding industry corporation (CSIC), a key constituent of the Chinese shipbuilding industry, is formed by 96 members with a workforce of 170 thousand people formerly incorporated in China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC). These members include industrial enterprises in Dalian, Tianjin, Wuhan, Xi'an, Chongqing and Kunming plus the majority of the research and development institutes of the China Ship Research and Development Academy.
