DIMITY AND NORTH CAROLINA

LIKE MANY WEAVERS, I have long been curious about the textile traditions in my community. Although I grew up elsewhere, I have lived in eastern North Carolina for the past 16 years and have come to regard it as my home. The weaving traditions of the Appalachian region of North Carolina are well-documented, but what about the eastern region of my adopted state? Were there weavers here whose work I could discover?
