SmartSettle Described with the Montreal Taxonomy

摘要

The Montreal Taxonomy helps to provide clarity for understanding the numerous terms being used in the literature to describe existing electronic negotiation support systems. It also goes a long ways towards specification of the criteria that can be used to provide a comprehensive description of the SmartSettle support system for electronic negotiations. One important feature of the SmartSettle system that does not seem to fit well within the given explicit classification is the notion of "blind-bidding," which was introduced in this paper as a method under offer acceptance and again as an aspect of information. We expect future researchers to use this response and similar contributions from developers of other systems as they seek to further refine the taxonomy.
