EPA faults 7 states, D.C. for lagging on NOx compliance

Seven states and the District of Columbia have fallen behind on Clean Air Act requirements for the nitrogen oxide standard, U.S. EPA said today. Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington state and the District of Columbia have missed the deadline to craft what are known as infrastructure state implementation plans that lay out the basics for how they will comply with the newest NOx standard. EPA posted the notice in the Federal Register today.
