Cancer survivors paddle tainted waters of Flushing Bay

A group of breast cancer survivors are using the same tenacity that helped them beat the disease to clean up the polluted waters where they row. The Empire Dragon Boat Team NYC practices twice a week in the waters of Flushing Bay, near New York City's LaGuardia Airport, where some of the city's worst water pollution is found. Often the bay's poor circulation means raw sewage lingers after heavy rains. It's the most convenient spot for the women, and it has a pier where they can store equipment.
