Obama signs bills on sunscreen, government reports into law

President Obama has signed three bills to overhaul how the Food and Drug Administration approves new sunscreen ingredients, eliminate unnecessary federal reports and change how presidential records are preserved into law. Sunscreen manufacturers will face a faster approval process after Obama on Wednesday signed S. 2141, to speed a backlog of product ingredients, which cleared Congress with no opposition this year. He also approved H.R. 1233, on presidential and federal records; H.R. 4194, to reduce the number of unnecessary government reports; and eight other pieces of legislation, the White House said.
