A Michigan judge rejected a motion to dismiss a class-action lawsuit against the state and state officials over Flint's lead-contaminated water. The win for the Flint residents who filed the lawsuit is the first major decision issued out of multiple civil suits over the city's ongoing lead contamination issues. The plaintiffs can proceed under two constitutional claims - their right to "bodily integrity" and inverse condemnation. They are seeking reduced property values, as well as compensation for plumbing damage.
