Police in Singapore have arrested 17 men in connection with an oil theft at Royal Dutch Shell PLC's largest refinery. Police also impounded $2.3 million and an oil tanker related to the heist, which first came to light in August. Nine of those arrested were charged with criminal breach of trust, a crime carrying a penalty of up to 15 years in prison, according to media outlets in Singapore. Two others were charged with receiving stolen goods, a lesser crime that could land them up to five years in jail. Shell has not said how much oil was stolen, but it did say in a statement that the arrests included "a limited number of Shell employees."
