摘要

ClearPath Action Fund is putting another $1 million into efforts to reelect 15 incumbent Republicans who it says are champions for clean energy. The group last year said it would spend $2 million to help nine candidates, including $500,000 just on Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) (E&E News PM, Nov. 22, 2019). Now it's adding another $1 million and six candidates to its 2020 congressional election activities. "These lawmakers are some of the most committed clean energy champions in Congress, and we're proud to endorse these trailblazers," said Jay Faison, the founder and main funder of ClearPath and its affiliates. "Collectively, their leadership on policies is helping accelerate energy storage, carbon capture, advanced nuclear and other clean energy technologies to make clean energy more affordable and commercially viable," he said. The six newly endorsed lawmakers are: Sens. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Steve Daines of Montana, Thom Tillis of North Carolina, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia and Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York.
