NOAA gets bump, but 'not a penny more for NASA'

A House Appropriations panel today signed off on a new $5.45 billion spending plan for NOAA that would pay for more climate research and improvements in fisheries management and weather forecasting. On a voice vote, the Commerce, Justice and Science Appropriations Subcommittee advanced a plan this morning that would boost the agency's spending by $102 million in fiscal 2021.
