Robust components segments supported by preferential policies

The electronic component segments in mainland China's Dalian Economic & Technological Development Area (DDA) is emerging as one of the largest and fastest developing industries in the region. DDA was the first state-level development area to be approved by the State Council in September 1984, and at present is still one of the biggest development areas in northern China. As of October 2006, there were over 200 electric component manufacturers in the area. Electronic components manufacturers comprised half of the DDA's top 50 enterprises last year.
