Rising demand for GPS devices and in-car entertainment is stimulating R&D and production in mianland China and Taiwan. There are about 10 active manufacturers in Taiwan offering small- and mid-sized TFT LCD panels. These suppliers include AUO Optronics Corp., Prime View Int. Co. Ltd, Toppoly Optoelectronics Corp., Hannstar Display Corp., Innolux Display Corp., Chunghwa Picture Tube Co. (CPT), Quanta Display Inc., Winstar Display Co. Ltd and Wintek Corp.
