The electronic components sector in China is finally feeling the pinch of the worldwide financial crisis.rnStatistics revealed that although sales and export revenues started out strong in January 2008, demand for some electronic components lines began dwindling by October. The aluminum capacitor sector, in particular, was the hardest hit, with manufacturers reducing production by as much as 50 percent due to a drastic drop in orders.rnAs the negative impact of the global recession filters down to the industry's other segments, local suppliers should consider markets that offer better opportunities.rnWen Xueli, CECA secretary general, urges makers to explore both the domestic and international markets.
