The topic of gender-based violence is one of the most complex problems to unravel and yet its prevention is one of the most far-reaching goals to seek. It is complex in that the data is so difficult to gather, both pragmatically and ethically. This issue should only serve to spur on more work within the topic because violence prevention reaches every aspect of a society's existence, from individuals, families and communities, to regions, nations and the global society.
