Currents: Legal Developments—Gender Issues Now, and Increasingly in the U.S. and EU Spotlight

ORC Worldwide believes that gender diversity will be an increasingly important issue in 2009 as both the United States and the European Union continue to focus on improving the status of women in the workplace and elsewhere. The new Obama administration is expected to quickly pass a number of new initiatives on gender pay discrimination, to reverse the Ledbetter decision as well as to revitalize the Equal Pay Act. The following is an update of the status of gender diversity in the third quarter of 2008.
