In the most recent Product Survey on GNSS receivers we skipped listing OEMs, the (core) components used to manufacture complete instruments, such as GNSS receivers, suited for use by the end-user. We based this decision on OEMs being of minimal importance to the land surveyor.rnOne manufacturer of OEMs in the GNSS arena is Novatel, which produces the V1, V2 and V3 OEM series. But the company also manufactures more generally orientated positional receivers by packaging in-house developed OEMs in rugged aluminium enclosures, in particular using OEM-V3. The DL-V3, for example, is designed for base-station and rover applications. The company does not supply off-the-shelf GNSS systems for daily land-survey applications, but rugged positioning systems for specialised use; Forsberg Services and Septen-trio, both listed in the October 2008 survey, do the same.
