The pursuit of ICA's mission statement to 'ensure that geospatial information is employed to maximum effect for the benefit of science and society through promotion and representation of the discipline and profession of Cartography and GIScience internationally' is directed by common goals and aspirations agreed at governing-body level, the General Assembly.
