摘要

A procedure for analysis the expansion of a cylindrical cavity in cohesive-frictional materials is described, with the aim of providing a theoretical framework on which to base analyses of pressuremeter tests. The concept that plastic dilatancy is inhibited by the presence of soil bonding is investigated and used to describe the plastic components of the tangential and radial increments. This new solution is formulated within the framework of non- associated plasticity in which the Euler method is applied to solve simultaneously two differential equations leading to the continuous variation of strains, stresses and volume changes produced by cavity expansion. Application of the proposed approach is particularly relevant in hard soils and soft rocks.
