New Regionalism in Australia

This book brings together a selection of papers focusing on New Regionalism in Australia. Most of the chapters were presented at a 2002 'New Regionalism' conference convened by the Monash University Institute for Regional Studies. There are 16 chapters structured into five loosely themed sections: New Regionalism in theory and practice; the new economy; a new governance; a new industrial relations, and the local response. The authors are Australian-based academics or practitioners (with the exception of Kevin Morgan), with most of the papers presenting research based on experiences of regional development in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia.
