Le procédé Ascodal est un revêtement urbain original par sa conception. Il est constitué de pierres minces de 1 à 2 cm d'épaisseur, généralement en granite, collées par une résine époxy sur le revêtement bitumineux de la chaussée. La demande de brevet a été déposée et le brevet d'invention a été délivré par l'Institut national de la propriété industrielle (INPI) à Joël Orhan conjointement avec la société ASPO, spécialisée dans l'aménagement urbain, dont il est le président fondateur. Son emploi depuis plus de 10 ans sur de nombreux sites, y compris sous fort trafic a montré la pérennité et la fiabilité du procédé.%The Ascodal process is an urban pavement of original design. Its use during more than 10 years on many sites, including heavy-traffic facilities, has shown the durability and reliability of the process.
