USE OF POLYMER ADDITIVES: A SOLUTION TO MAKE HIGH MODULUS ASPHALT CONCRETE

EME (high modulus asphalt) and BBME (high modulus asphaltic concrete) are high performance asphalt mixtures that increase pavement life or allow the use of thinner layers to achieve equal service life. Hard bitumen grades are not always required to meet the high stiffness values. By using a conventional bitumen together with additives from PR INDUSTRIE instead, one can formulate a mixture corresponding to an EME or BBME.
