Whatever strategy you employ, always do your homework. The more the better. New or used, there are still many considerations. Everyone likes new equipment for all the reasons mentioned, but given the challenges our equipment manufacturers continue to face, selecting a supplier here also requires vigorous scrutiny. Can they properly support it, are they going to remain financially viable, will they be there in the future? For used equipment, it now doesn't have to be "used-up," as in the past, and there are a multitude of excellent values in be found.
