Christian Salvesen secures Central Foods contract

Christian Salvesen's Temperature Controlled Business Unit (TCBU) has won the contract for the UK frozen food business of Central Foods, a dedicated supplier of frozen foods to the food service industry, with more routes to market than any other supplier in the frozen delivered wholesale sector. The contract, which will be operated through Christian Salvesen's Nuneaton Distribution Centre, will include collection of product ex-supplier factory, receipt and delivery of frozen food service products, on a shared user basis, to over 200 independent frozen food wholesalers, as well as the major groups, nationals and large end-user caterers, on a day one for day three delivery basis nationwide.
