摘要

Organic pollutant gases can cause severe damage to both materials and people and have received much attention as a problem in the indoor environment. In this paper, l-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride (C_4mimCl) was employed as sensing material coated on quartz crystal micro-balance (QCM) for the detection of organic vapors. The experimental results indicated that the C_4mimCl/QCM sensor showed fast response, excellent sensitivity and good re-producibility towards organic acids. There was a good linear relationship between the frequency response and the testing concentration of these organic acid vapors. The results also indicated that C_4mimCl/QCM sensor could be a good candidate for the real-time detection of organic acid vapors.
